Responsibilities:

  • Establish and build a highly effective team with direct and indirect reports across the clinical setting.
  • Manage the working environment to promote productivity, motivation, and engagement
  • Represent the team in clearing obstacles to high performance.
  • Implement and evaluate services provided within the clinical setting.
  • Support frontline leadership team with day-to-day running of clinics and Day Hospital, and collaboration with other care areas within the Division and across the hospital.
  • Design and implement processes for daily activities with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Provide troubleshooting, problem solving and system expertise to staff. May include clinical and administrative challenges.
  • Assess barriers to efficiency in operations, make recommendations, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of improvements; ensure appropriate resources are available.
  • Monitor appointment and registration quality. Monitor volume of clinic visits, wait times, no show rates, and clinic cancellations; report metrics monthly and identify opportunities for both operational and process improvements.
  • Ensure proper utilization of facility space and manage the optimization/expansion based on metrics.
  • Provide prompt and clear verbal and written feedback to staff and manage/guide their performance.
  • Ensure team adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Set and clearly communicate team goals and priorities in alignment with departmental goals and budgets; work collaboratively with the H/O leadership team to define the strategies to meet team goals.
  • Identify patient needs in collaboration with the leadership team, patients, and families, and ensure service excellence in meeting those needs.
  • Liase with ambulatory and inpatient clinical leaders throughout the hospital representing H/O
  • Role-model and promote Caring Safely and Daily CIP in the outpatient setting
