Are you an experienced Clinical Scientist with a passion for delivering high quality treatment planning and brachytherapy services? Staff wellbeing is important to us and as such we offer senior staff a 9-day fortnight working pattern with a fixed day off every two weeks, as well as the opportunity to work from home for part of your time
The successful candidate will provide scientific support at Medical Physics Expert level within the radiotherapy service. They will specialize in two areas out of the following, with the detail to be agreed between the successful candidate and appointing manager: Treatment Planning; Brachytherapy; Dosimetry & QA. There will be opportunities to contribute to developments and clinical research to enable continuing implementation and expansion of state-of-the-art techniques. Candidates with at least 2 years operating at MPE level will also be offered the opportunity to undertake a lead role within the department, assuming managerial responsibility for an aspect of the service.
