Description:
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated Clinical Support Worker to join our team.
This position is a new role within an established team and we are keen to take a team approach to the development of the role.
The position sits within the Clinical Site Management structure and will be working alongside the Site Managers and Flow team supporting the clinical and operational needs for patient flow and safety.
The role will involves supporting clinical flow and assist numerous clinical duties such as bloods, cannulas, ECG’s etc. This is a 24 hour service, 7 days a week to support flow, shift patterns reflect this.
We are looking for candidates to support us in our vision of developing the role and the team to provide effective, efficient and safe Patient Flow throughout the Trust.
The post holder will support the smooth running of all aspects of patient flow for the site and liaise closely with the Emergency Department, assessment areas and wards. The post holder will provide regular real time capacity information to the Patient Flow team as requested and ensure that information is shared both internally and externally as directed by the Site Matron and Lead Nurse for Flow.
The role will be to support the operational and strategic aims of the Patient Flow team. Developing and managing a culture of change which drives efficiency, effectiveness and improves patient outcomes, ensuring patients receive care in the correct setting.
To work as an integral element of the hospital at night team out of hours, support patient care and safety, to ensure timely assessments, treatments.
