Description:
The post holder will support the smooth running of all aspects of patient flow for the Cardiology ward. The role will be to support the operational and strategic aims within Cardiology and ward 1. Developing and managing a culture of change which drives efficiency, effectiveness and improves patient outcomes, ensuring patients receive care in the correct setting. To work as an integral element to support patient care and safety, to ensure timely assessments, and treatments.
Part Time - 22.5 hours per week

THE POST HOLDER WILL UNDERTAKE ACTIVITIES IN RELATION TO: -
Communicate immediately any potential problems regarding a patient’s care to the appropriate person to ensure that problems are escalated to a member of the patient medical team and the process is proactive.
Communicate efficiently and in a timely manner to ensure any potential problems are escalated
Liaise with staff to facilitate the safe and timely admission and treatment of patients and respond as required to day-to-day demands in service.
Assist with the administration and day to day running of the ward team, utilising the IT infrastructure that supports it.
