Job Summary
The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join us in Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Berlin or remotely in Germany. In this role, you will work at the customer site as a subject-matter expert in Red Hat’s infrastructure and cloud technology. You’ll answer questions about best practices around reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups, and lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat’s technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and outstanding performance. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will gain an understanding of the customer infrastructure and business issues and make recommendations appropriate to their environment. This is a great opportunity to build on your core base of knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat’s solutions. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you do

  • Serve as a customer advocate, designing the right solutions and ensuring that they are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way
  • Deliver successful discovery, analysis, and design workshops for small to medium teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and inspire customer use cases and architecture design decisions
  • Scope delivery projects and guide customers through successful pilot and production deployments
  • Design, create, and deliver content that will enable the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service, and support our cloud and infrastructure solutions at scale
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat’s services capabilities, promote repeated customer engagements, and lower delivery risks
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and present creative ideas in the community by producing exceptional whitepapers and webinars and by speaking at high-profile industry conferences

What you will bring

  • Prior experience working in a consulting role; ability to deliver in one-on-one assignments - Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies on a delivery level
  • Experience implementing virtualization technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments
  • Excellent knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform on a delivery level
  • Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions
  • Understanding of the open source community
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and planning skills
  • Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification and /or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is a plus
  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory
  • Ready to travel upto 35% within Germany and on certain occasions with EMEA
