About the role
As ATB’s next Senior Cloud Security & Security Operations Analyst, this role is involved in security operations tasks related to Security Infrastructure platforms and related services. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Security Operations, this role requires a detailed oriented person with excellent communications skills and strong technical skills. The primary responsibility will be to support, enhance, and maintain security technologies. A key responsibility of the role will be to build support documentation as well as Runbooks and then look to transition knowledge to other team members.
This role requires expertise in managing Cloud Security services along with traditional on-premise security platforms. At ATB we utilize Google Workspace and GCP as our primary cloud environment, and although experience in such tooling will be beneficial it is not essential. You would be a key contributor for managing the security policies in our cloud environments, Web Application Firewalls (WAF’s), Cloud and NG Firewalls, Key Management, and VPC Service Controls. You will be required to understand the security implications of Kubernetes and Docker environments. Strong skills with Python and Terraform are required. The work will also include troubleshooting issues with proxy services, antivirus, and network access control.

Accountabilities

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals of all levels of a large organization in-person or remotely.
  • Overseeing the Management and Administration of Cloud Firewalls
  • Overseeing the Management and Administration of NG Firewalls
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF) Policies
  • Managing and enforcing cloud security policies
  • Manage VPC Service Controls
  • Working with Project and Architecture teams on Cloud security
  • Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention
  • Network Access Control
  • Managing Cloud Infrastructure via Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Google Workspace Security
  • Monitor Security Events in the SIEM and SOC dashboards
  • Key Management
  • Participate in Security Incident Resolution
  • CASB Support
  • Security Automation
  • Ability to analyze phishing emails and prioritize the organization risk
  • Antivirus support
  • Web Proxy Support

Skills, experience & requirements

  • 8 years experience required
  • Knowledge of network security concepts
  • Preference applied to those that have CISSP or GSEC certification
  • Python coding experience
  • Terraform experience
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and the use of IT Automation pipelines
  • Experience with Cloud Networking
  • Understanding of Load Balancing
  • Ability to prioritize work with competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, Able to quickly translate complex technical information into common language for Stakeholders and Team Members.
  • Dynamic individual with team player qualities: integrity, accountability, adaptability and motivation.
