Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Client: Our client is a creator of a popular health app designed to help women track their menstrual cycles, ovulation, and overall reproductive health. It provides personalized health insights and educational content on women’s health.

Position overview: The Senior Cloud Solution Architect is a customer-facing role, owning the overall technical relationship and strategy between the customer and DataArt. In this role you will lead architectural design sessions, develop proof of concepts/pilots and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the proposed architectures and solution implementation.

• Responsibilities: Lead and drive large-scale migration projects to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) from legacy systems or other cloud providers, aligning with the technology transformation goals
• Develop and maintain high-level architectural blueprints for complex solutions to ensure technical alignment with business objectives on both cloud platforms.
• Serve as the technical lead for architectural design sessions, providing expert guidance on cloud infrastructure and application migration for both GCP and AWS.
• Provide mentorship to team members and other stakeholders involved in the migration project
• Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud migration roadmap, ensuring minimal disruption to business
• Lead the design and execution of data migration strategies and solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements
• Design scalable and secure cloud architectures that facilitate efficient data migration and integration
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth migration processes and minimal disruption to business operations
• Develop and implement data migration best practices, including data validation, transformation, and optimization
• Monitor and troubleshoot migration issues, providing timely resolutions and adjustments as needed
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process, adhering to compliance and regulatory standards
• Develop and expand existing impactful relationships with customer and technical specialists, technical decision makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor for cloud strategy and implementation on both GCP and AWS
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing solutions to optimize performance, security, and cost on GCP and AWS
• 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture roles
• Extensive experience in performing large-scale cloud migrations to GCP and AWS, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions on both GCP and AWS including large-scale data migration projects
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture frameworks, security, and best practices on both GCP and AWS
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Experience in agile methodologies and tools for project tracking and collaboration
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong customer-facing skills, with a focus on building relationships and trust
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical solutions
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead technical diverse teams and projects
• Experience in mentoring and developing more junior team members
