REQUIREMENTS

  • Min. 3 years of industry experience in commercial finance brokerage / lending
  • Detailed knowledge of products and lenders across commercial lending market
  • Established contact network across Commercial Finance industry
  • Proven ability & track record of working with professional referral partners
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management – ability to connect with multiple client profiles
  • Experience managing portfolio of established clients and seeking client referrals
  • Compiling detailed management reports for Senior Executives
  • Experience with working in fast paced / target driven role
  • Demonstrable management experience with the ability to cover any absence of Department Head
  • Experience in Project Management and problem solving (desirable)
  • Experience in strict adherence to regulatory compliance and internal control procedures
  • Beneficial to have CeMap qualification

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Broker in the Property & Structured Finance Department, your role will be critical to the success and growth of the department, as you will be responsible for driving sales through new business and referral channels on secured property & structured finance enquiries between £350k to £5m.
In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Secured Lending, and be provided with qualified high-value client enquiries and will be required to engage with clients and analyse financial data to identify the best and most suited products available in the market across all product verticals.
The candidate will need to have strong experience in dealing with Commercial Mortgage, Commercial Investment, Buy to Lets, Development & Bridging Finance alongside working with and structuring larger ticket & complex working capital enquiries, MBO’s / MBI & acquisition finance.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a professional and market leading level of sales service to new clients via inbound lead channels from initial enquiry through to sales closure.
  • Proactively nurture existing Client relationships to seek referrals to build and secure new sales activity with new potential clients, ultimately building a strong pipeline and securing new business wins.
  • Write and prepare financial proposals and credit applications, including working with clients to gather appropriate financial and non-financial paperwork.
  • Work closely with our panel of lenders across all product verticals to secure the best terms available and negotiate on conditions, documenting key actions and tasks throughout.
  • Work closely with our dedicated Operations and Completions Managers to expedite the flow of Work In Progress (WIP) through to Completion.
  • Record all sales activity in our CRM.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lenders and their specific criteria on a regular basis.
  • Any other appropriate job duties in line with the associated skill and experience of the post holder.
  • Meeting with high value clients to ensure Life Time Value, and future opportunities
