We are looking for a qualified lawyer or a person with considerable experience of negotiating legal agreements. Key attributes:
- The role will involve working across certain business units in T&L, so the candidate will need to be flexible enough to deal with the different legal and risk considerations arising in them.

Responsibilities:
- Working closely with senior stakeholders in the Business Tax/Funds to provide legal advice on strategic matters, for example contracting for new and/or updated service offerings, and/or a change in legal approach
- Negotiation of complex, high value and strategically important client engagement contracts (including operate engagements), including regularly facing off with client legal teams and their external counsel
- The review, drafting and negotiation of an array of other commercial contracts, including MSAs/frameworks (including cross border), NDAs, proposals, sub-contracts, teaming agreements, software and product licences and supplier agreements.
- Acting as a point of escalation of complex legal and/or risk management matters arising on client engagements in Business Tax/Funds matters.
- Supporting the Tax Quality and Risk team in its advice to Deloitte’s management and practitioners on general legal and risk management issues, based on an understanding and appreciation of the key business risks that need to be managed
- Driving strategic projects and change management exercises
- Leading and managing more junior lawyers. This will include not only allocating work to them and reviewing that work where appropriate, but also where required, managing their performance and development as their People Leade
