Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our team on the Highways A57 Link Road scheme, this role will be based at Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be supporting the Commercial Team managing all the costs related to the Mottram Moor Link A57 Road highways improvement scheme.
- Ensures staff have a good knowledge of and adhere to the Company’s GMCEs, BMS and other governance
- Understands how economic factors affect the construction industry.
- Co-ordination of buying, accounts, production control/planning, supply chain management & procurement techniques, estimating & surveying functions.
- Contribute to the accurate and efficient provision of progress and productivity reports weekly and monthly to senior management, in accordance with company procedures.
- To be able to report and explain the commercial aspects to senior divisional staff.
- Formulation and management of plans for resource procurement.
Recruitment, management, development and retention of staff
Determine project commercial staff requirement and liaise with HR for recruitment including temporary staff
