SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant experience in a similar role
  • Preferably Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or other relevant business discipline
  • Non degree holders should have a demonstrable record of success with extensive experience in similar roles
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications – High level knowledge of Excel
  • Accurate and timely provision of information
  • Demonstrate experience working under NEC Contracts and in particular Option A, C and E
  • Preferable use of online cost and value software (such as Oracle)
  • Experience of managing teams, implementing structure, training plans etc.
  • Driving Licence

Joining M Group Services Water Division’ ONE MECIA team you’ll be part of a business working towards future progression, helping us to deliver high-quality services. Our strength lies in the synergy of Z-Tech, IDS, I&C Process Solutions, and PMP. By combining our specialised knowledge and experience, we offer a holistic approach to MEICA solutions. Our team collaborates seamlessly across disciplines to deliver innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions. Our capabilities include specialist engineering design and build, full MEICA maintenance, minor capital projects (replacement and refurbishment), sewer level and pressure & flow monitoring.
As the Commercial Manager, you will be part of the Management team reporting to the Commercial Director.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK, national travel will be required including Scotland.
Responsible for the development of commercial relationships with key client accounts. Ensuring that commercial risks and opportunities are communicated and understood by all internal and external parties. To ensure that governance processes are adhered by the wider team. Maintaining commercial control of Direct Labour, Subcontractors, Plant, Material, Consumable and Administration costs. And Project Valuation; cost control and cost management and the validation of progress data in order to ensure accurate reporting. Development of existing standards and processes identifying efficiencies and ‘value add’ at every opportunity.
