BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Commercial Manager who can strengthen our existing team, delivering large civil engineering projects across Scotland. The projects are predominantly within the energy infrastructure sector, building new substations and HVDC converter stations to support Scotland’s transition to net Zero.

• Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, commercial managers, project teams and Divisional Commercial Manager
• Prepare management reports for presentation to the senior leadership team
• Be responsible for staff matters which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, staff allocation
• Provide commercial contact with key supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents
• Ensure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the business
• Provide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client’s representatives
• Regular meetings with the clients senior representatives and building relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
• Provide commercial advice to the commercial managers in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions / reviews
• Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy
• Provide input to dispute identification and management
• Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer’s representatives
• Agree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accounts
