Description:
SUMMARY:
This Senior Communications and Marketing Associate will assist with the development and implementation of marketing initiatives, coordinate community events/activities, monitor and track results of marketing and capital campaigns, and serve as the liaison between communications & marketing consultants and IC staff. To excel in this position you must be organized, a multi-tasker able to handle many diverse projects at once, and meet deadlines.
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related field or five years of experience.
- Internship or professional experience in a marketing/communications function
- Superior communication and organizational skills
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
- Familiarity with CRM tools and software a plus
- Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with the VP of Community Integration & Impact on marketing, communications, and development to facilitate the creation and implementation of publications and advertising campaigns.
- May assist or lead capital campaigns and is responsible for campaign strategy, including establishing solicitation priorities, creating, updating, and managing prospect lists.
- Handles photography and videography needs.
- Creates a repository of photos, videos, and other IC marketing and publication needs.
- With VP of Community Integration & Impact, participate in outreach to state, local, and other government officials.
- Work with VP of Community Integration & Impact and ELT to execute marketing plans and maintain budgets. Traffic all marketing, advertising, and communications materials to appropriate channels.
- Work with VP of Community Integration & Impact and marketing consultants, as appropriate, and internal resources to set up tracking systems for marketing and online initiatives.
- Assist with development of the Marketing Budget.
- Act as internal coordinator and project manager for marketing and communications initiatives.
- Assessment and updating of all marketing & promotion tools.
- Act as liaison between VP of Community Integration & Impact and InterCommunity staff in the execution of creative materials (coordinating photo and video shoots, securing, and refining details of content, proofing, etc.).
- Work with local press to deepen relationships and broaden media exposure for InterCommunity’s Health Care programs, events, and timely health-related news.
- Development of direct advertisement that reflects the community we serve:
- Billboards
- TV commercials
- News Articles
- Positive publicity to highlight programs, services, and new initiatives
- Podcast creation and distribution
- Paid Social Media Advertisements
- Maintain files, samples, and tear sheets of all communication and marketing materials.
- Maintain supplies of marketing and promotional materials.
- Communicates to ELT regularly presenting status reports of all communications and outreach projects.
- Coordinate and develop plans for community outreach events (i.e., health fairs, cultural festivals, community, gatherings, etc.), including staffing and/or attending events.
- Identify new outreach opportunities in InterCommunity service areas with specific attention to culturally relevant events.
InterCommunity Ambassador Program – a group of colleagues who are energetic, compassionate, committed, and embody the InterCommunity Health Care mission. These individuals will support community outreach events and activities by attending, answering questions, and promoting the important work the organization does to serve the community. InterCommunity ambassadors can participate in different ways such as:
- Attending health fairs and community events
- Working the InterCommunity Health Care information tables at outreach events
- Speaking about the work of the organization (clinical staff)
- Recommending community events that the organization should support and new CBOs to partner with
Act as a project manager for staff functions, celebrations, and fundraising events/Track success of Goals and Measures:
- Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn
- Send out updates on our Constant Contact sites
- Guides creation of organizational and department brochures
- Supports and updates InterCommunity website
- Evaluate online patient experience
