Description:
The Office of the Chief Executive assists with achieving EDQ’s objectives by providing organisational leadership, strategic direction and relationships, supporting the Chief Executive and the wider EDQ to create places and investment opportunities for Queenslanders to prosper. The team provides a range of functions for EDQ, including communications and media, government liaison, organisational leadership, external relations and executive services.
As the Senior Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role within EDQ in providing quality and timely communications and media services to support our organisation and raise the profile of the organisation. Your focus will be on taking a strategic, whole-of-EDQ view of communication and media planning, providing content, context and consistency to all communication and media messaging.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: » Leading the development and implementation of a broad range of quality and innovative communication services, that are closely aligned with the EDQ’s strategic objectives.» Developing and implementing strategic communications and media plans that engage and deliver results, with a focus on managing reputation and promoting the organisation.» Maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring services are client-focussed, highly effective and consistent with EDQ’s communication strategies and messaging.» Providing advice to key business areas to identify their communication requirements and collaborate with EDQ’s Marketing and Engagement team to produce solutions.» Developing key messages and content for print, electronic and online distribution including but not limited to responses to media enquiries, media releases, news articles, speeches, and talking points.» Using creativity and awareness of the latest technologies, techniques, and networks to deliver innovative and improved communication and media services and strategies.» Undertaking media reporting and monitoring tasks.» Actively engage in a team environment and positive culture, by demonstrating our core values, celebrating success, and committing to continued learning and development.
