Description:
Department HR Compen/Staffing/HRIS/Payroll 50000665 Business Unit Business & Finance Reg-Temp Full-Time Regular Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM; additional hours as needed Remote/Telecommuting Hybrid (part-time working on site, part-time working off-site) Position Summary
Provides advanced level of professional support for the UNMC campus compensation/classification activities, which includes job documentation, job evaluation, salary administration with limited guidance and direction from the Compensation Administrator.
In a joint effort with the Compensation Administrator, is responsible for University Wide MarketPay system, serving as a key System User Administrator.
In a joint effort with the Compensation Administrator manages UNMC’s organizational/position management working with SAP and PeopleAdmin systems.
In addition, in collaboration with the Compensation team and other department teams participates/completes assigned projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

IF ANY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, PLEASE SPECIFY WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE:
Compensation administration experience to include job evaluations and market analysis.
(Will consider additional related post high school education in lieu of required experience)
REQUIRED ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
a. Must be knowledgeable and have understanding of human resource related laws and regulations.
b. Must be knowledgeable and have understanding of general compensation philosophy and methodology for conducting market analysis.
c. Ability to project a positive image for the university and effectively work as part of a team.
d. Ability to adapt and embrace change.
e. Ability to continuously learn and to pursue self-development through personal study, training and education.
f. Must have strong analytical skills with attention to details.
g. Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
h. Must have ability to research trends and make recommendations based on trends or change of State and/or Federal laws.
i. Must have ability to take initiative to handle multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision. A strong sense of urgency and ownership is required.
j. Effective organizational, interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills (Written and verbal).
k. Must have proven project management skills, including relationship building and presentation skills.
l. Public contact position requiring appropriate business-like apparel.
m. Regular attendance and timeliness is essential – Work schedule 8:00am to 5:00pm. Ability to commit whatever time or effort is required to ensure customer/managers and employees needs are met.
