How you will create an impact
The role involves handling claims of considerable complexity with particular emphasis on reducing claims costs, providing exceptional customer service, and understanding the financial impact of claims on the business.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake coverage investigations, assess liability and quantum, negotiate early settlements, and manage the reserve process. There would be particular focus on making early claims decision that result in costs and legal spend savings for the business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Managing claims handling enquiries, coverage determinations, quantum analysis and legal liability assessments
Ensuring effective vendor and litigation management on Complex claims, including demonstrable savings
Reporting key claims outcomes to the Complex Claims Manager and to internal stakeholders
Broadening internal / external stakeholder communication where required, as a financial lines technical claims expert and thought leader
Delivering technical training to colleagues and external contacts as appropriate
Assisting in continuous improvement across the region through support for the Quality Assurance / Regional Audit processes (including assisting Australasian Complex Claims Manager to complete monthly quality assurance reviews)
