Description:

What we’re looking for
You’ll be responsible for ensuring effective actions are taken to satisfy regulatory authority requests and compliance with the National Law and Regulations (and associated legislation) across the organisation.

The role

  • Acting as the point of contact for communication and liaison across internal functions for investigation of individual child incidents
  • Verify preventative and correction actions and closure for child incidents
  • Log, review and action regulatory action notices in the Compliance Management System
  • Track and ensure non-compliance notices, breaches and any enforcement actions are actioned and closed out by the due date
  • Assess and clearly itemise succinct actions and sufficient evidence required to satisfactorily meet the requirements of the request or compliance notice
  • Collate all requested information, evidence and other documentation professionally and orderly and submit to departments within expected deadlines
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and up to date with changes

Qualifications and experience you’ll need to be successful

  • Minimum of Diploma (or similar) qualification in Early Education and Care (ECEC) (desirable but not essential)
  • Similar experience skill set such a paralegal would be beneficial but not essential
  • Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain
  • Minimum 2 years’ quality/compliance officer experience for a large provider
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ECEC sector and relevant legislation (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply to policy, process, and the National Law and Regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management and attention to detail
