The Senior Compliance Specialist for MEA markets will support implementation of global policies and procedures across the Smith & Nephew businesses in Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. The role will focus on supporting the effective functioning of compliance controls relating to third parties and will conduct training and monitoring of third parties to ensure compliance with Smith+Nephew standards and to detect potential risks.
What will you be doing?
- Supports the Sr. Compliance Director in ensuring the effective functioning of the Global Compliance Program.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for the direct markets, distributors, and the vendors.
- Supporting the preparation of local procedures based on global policies and in ensuring that all procedures are communicated regularly to applicable employees.
- Providing Training, Education and Communication to employees and business partners
- Investigations: Assisting in investigations to the extent requested. Ensuring investigative processes are followed.
- Monitoring: Completing local monitoring programs where required
- Corrective & Preventive Action: Driving timely completion of corrective and preventive actions for Smith & Nephew and third-party businesses in the region.
- Supporting the effective functioning of key compliance controls relating to interactions with Healthcare Professionals
- Third Party Assessments: Conduct third party assessments for Third Party Sellers and Non Sellers Third Parties
What will you need to be successful?
- Fluency in Arabic
- Bachelor/Masters Degree or equivalent (Finance degree is preferred)
- 3-4 years of experience working in compliance program within a business
- Openness to travel within the market (Middle East & Africa)
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to detect risk areas and red flags.
- Solution-minded; desire to solve problems.
- Project management skills
- Effective stakeholder engagement, management and business partnering.
