General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Senior Configuration Engineer to join our established Team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £43,200 to £54,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.
Joining an established team based at our Merthyr ( South Wales ) facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders that will require close liaison and co-operation with the engineering and integration subject matter experts and the platform, manufacturing & domain expertise residing in the wider GD businesses.
Responsibilities:
TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing organisation in a configuration role
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and orally, with a broad range of people including Lead Engineers, Programme Managers, Customers and Suppliers
- Technical awareness/understanding of engineering applications;
- PDM tool administrator/super-user role experience;
- Experience using Oracle ERP systems
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design Packages specifically PRO-E
- Experience using Oracle ERP systemsExperience of managing engineering change
