Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of historic and Aboriginal archaeology and/or anthropology, cultural heritage management, and Burra Charter Principles.
  • Conducting both historic and Aboriginal archaeology/ anthropology, with expertise in either area being highly desirable.
  • Preparing high-quality archaeological/ anthropological assessments, Cultural Heritage Management Plans, Due Diligence Assessments, cultural context studies, and Heritage Interpretation Plans.
  • Leading and participating in fieldwork, including archaeological excavations, anthropological studies, and Aboriginal heritage surveys.
  • Managing small to medium-sized projects and assisting in the management of larger projects, including scoping, costing, tracking job costs, and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants.
  • Coaching and developing team members as appropriate.
  • Conducting historic and cultural research to gain a thorough understanding of heritage sites and new communities.
  • Producing high-standard written advice and demonstrating advanced skills in technical report writing.
