Various ESG Due Diligence Roles (Consulting Associate – Consulting Director)

  • Our Sustainability Advisory & Transaction Services team is experiencing significant growth, and we are seeking individuals to deliver best in class services to meet this demand.

  • Consultants in ESG Due Diligence Roles within ERM’s Sustainability Advisory & Transaction Services team work on a wide range of buy side and sell side transactions for private market investors, their portfolio companies, and corporate clients, to identify ESG Risks, Liabilities, and Value Creation Opportunities from both a financial and reputational perspective.

More Senior positions will require to demonstrate and drive (to varying degrees) the following, with more junior roles supporting on delivery of projects and various of the aspects below:

  • Lead and direct large, global projects, ensuring client satisfaction and profitable delivery.
  • Provide expert guidance on strategic ESG related matters leveraging our global pool of subject matter experts.
  • An understanding of macro sustainability / ESG topics as they relate to companies in the real-economy and investment community, Value Creation, and how these may translate into topics of relevance during a transaction (e.g., ESG Governance, importance of Climate Strategy and decarbonization, social (Human Rights), EU Green Deal, among others).
  • Understanding of how ESG due diligence findings are used by clients, and the interaction with other advisors and workstreams (e.g. financial, legal, and commercial due diligence, investment banks).
  • An ability to identify and manage commercial and operational risks from conception through to project delivery.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communications and engagement, producing quality deliverables, translating complex technical topics into commercial opinions, and identifying potential opportunities to create or maintain value.
  • Private markets experience is preferred, but not required.
