BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
- 3+ years of relevant post graduate working experience in a consulting or professional services firm
- Understanding of financial statements and corporate functions
- Ability to travel to FTI Offices and client sites as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA, CFA or MBA
- Experience in M&A and/or Corporate Finance
- Advanced Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication and client interface skills (verbal and written)

ABOUT THE ROLE
In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.
FTI Capital Advisors is a special situations and middle market investment bank teamed with the power of FTI Consulting’s worldwide network of professionals. FTI Capital Advisors is focused on providing M&A advice and executing private placements of equity and debt. The Senior Consultant is responsible for supporting the entire lifecycle of a transaction, from initial evaluation to diligence, negotiations through closing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Conduct industry research
- Perform financial modelling and valuation analysis
- Prepare presentation materials, including deal Teasers and CIMs
- Research potentials buyers/targets/investors
- Provide recommendations on potential transactions
- Manage investor due diligence
- Support SMD/MDs in transaction negotiations
- Develop and train junior analysts on investment banking analytical and transaction process skills
