About the role:
We are seeking ambitious and enthusiastic individuals to strengthen our team. Your work will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions by conducting in-depth market analysis, formulating strategic hypotheses, and interpreting complex data within the German energy sector. You will provide actionable insights and recommendations that aid utilities, investors, and governmental agencies in transitioning towards a net-zero world. Additionally, you will present your analytical findings and strategic guidance during various meetings and client/public workshops.

Your responsibilities:

• Working closely with our markte analysis and modelling team to structure economic problems into quantifiable analyses and derive insights from the model results
• Be in charge of our AFRY Inpenedent Market Reprot for Germany which is updated once a quarter
• Engaging with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements to tailor our proposals, methods and deliverables
• Managing day-to-day project delivery by coordinating the Analysts and Consulatnts and be the main point of contact for our clients
• Contributing to the product and business development of the company by identifying new project opportunities and expanding our capabilities
• Building and developing deep knowledge and expertise in energy market economics, drivers of business cases and energy transition topics

Your profile:

• You have an excellent academic degree with an economic, technical or MINT focus
• You possess at least three years of experience (five years for Manager role) in the energy sector, having worked in consultancy or as a stakeholder within the industry, including utilities, developers, funds, banks, government bodies, or think tanks. Prior experience in fundamental energy market modelling are beneficial.
• You enjoy leading projects that require a strong focus on quantitative analysis, and your project management skills enable you to plan and execute them independently
• You work thoroughly, have an eye for details and master MS Office, especially Excel, very well
• You have strong analytical skills and the ability to convey complex information in a clear and logical way
• You command both German and English language on a professional level (C1/C2)
