POSITION: SENIOR CONSULTANT – MUNICIPAL ADVISORY, MANAGEMENT CONSULTING
StrategyCorp is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Management Consulting practice in Toronto. Senior Consultants are key to delivering our value proposition to our clients and delivering high quality services and products.
StrategyCorp has a fast-paced environment and we expect a lot from our consultants – with responsibilities that include supporting client service teams in formulating evidence-based advice for clients, conducting and reviewing deep research and analysis, creating high quality deliverables and assisting with new business proposal development. With these responsibilities comes an unparalleled opportunity to get exposure to the substance and politics of complex issues and projects that provide outstanding opportunities to grow as a consulting and public policy professional.
The ideal candidate is:
- A strategy consultant or public policy researcher with 3-5 years professional experience.
- Experienced leading project teams to meet client deliverables and timelines.
- Experienced in public administration, policy, and/or politics.
- Knowledgeable and comfortable in working with research methodologies, processes and work approaches for addressing client service needs.
- Familiar with public sector documents such as budgets, strategic plans, master plans, detailed consultant reports and data sources including Statistics Canada and the Financial Information Return.
- Able to produce well-written and accurate reports that analyze and present information in an organized and understandable manner, tailored to particular audiences.
- Highly collaborative in working with colleagues with a mix of skills and experience levels to deliver outstanding client service and product quality and to develop client pitches and proposals.
- Someone who thrives in a high-pressure environment and is comfortable debating ideas and rigorously fine-tuning advice and recommendations.
Our ideal candidate has the follow qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in consulting, research, policy development or other relevant role.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, influence others, and build consensus and move toward a common vision or goal.
- Effectively able to deliver projects on-time, on-budget within the scope that meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated experience in project management of extensive multi-phase projects.
- Impeccable organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong aptitude for analytical, strategic and critical thinking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Major strategy consulting firm or public policy research experience is considered an asset.
