The Senior Associate will support delivery of our work in Nigeria. The role includes working with government stakeholders and donor organisations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and capture insights from the field
  • Coach and support stakeholders and team members with problem-solving
  • Use data and other information for analysis and decision-making purposes
  • Plan and develop strategies
  • Construct and structure documents for stakeholders, including stocktakes
  • Design and implement new systems, and improve existing ones to improve project outcomes
  • Identify and understand issues; break down problems and identify root causes
  • Give recommendations constructing multiple scenarios and advise where necessary
  • Develop excellent relationships and work with officials and partners
  • Plan and run meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Guide and mentor junior associates, as well as monitor their progress
  • Assess international evidence and learn lessons about pragmatic solutions

What we look for:

  • 3+ years of experience in management or strategy consulting
  • Track record of working in Nigeria
  • Previous experience in the public sector is an advantage
  • Excellent English and ideally Hausa
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in at least one analytical tool such as GIS software, database software, a scripting language or statistical analysis software
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to senior officials
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including mastery of a range of advanced techniques
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Strong drive and motivation
  • Interest in social issues and public sector development
  • Openness to travel
