Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers - especially vulnerable people.
We’re driving innovation and transforming how critical energy schemes are delivered, ensuring that they are accessible, understandable, and effective. We’re looking for a Senior Content Designer to join us and lead the creation of impactful content on projects that will support the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
We’re offering a brand new, permanent role where you’ll have the chance to establish Content Design as a function. You will have autonomy whilst being supported by the Design Team Lead and peers in User Research, Interaction Design and Service Design. You’ll play a key role in protecting consumers and delivering net zero goals through environmental and social schemes. In this collaborative role, you will work with digital delivery teams to support and develop best practice, making sure that every piece of content meets user needs.
You’ll be shaping content design, influencing the way we engage with key user groups and stakeholders as part of the content process. You’ll join a vibrant community of experts in User Centred Design and are encouraged to connect with other organisations via cross-government initiatives.
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in content design who can translate complex technical information into clear, simple content. You should have a proven ability to work effectively with other User-Centred Design (UCD) disciplines and a passion for mentoring and developing interest and ability in Content Design. Experience with driving efficiency and quality in content design processes is essential.
In addition to the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, you’ll benefit from flexible working options, professional development opportunities, and the chance to be part of a supportive and innovative environment.
We have a critical purpose to deliver high-quality content design that supports our environmental and social schemes. By making content clear and accessible, you’ll help millions of people understand and benefit from these schemes, contributing to a more sustainable and fair energy system.
To find out more we are hosting an online open event to talk over the role, team and Ofgem. You will also be able to ask the panel questions on Tuesday 19th November at 12.30pm. To register for the event click here: https://buytickets.at/ofgem/1463493
