Description:

The Strategic Change Office (SCO) works across the University to plan and implement a range of strategic and continuous improvement initiatives ensuring that the University builds on its reputation as a world leading institution.
We are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Continuous Improvement Manager to join the vibrant and inclusive Strategic Change Office at the University of Manchester.
The successful applicant will lead on the management, set up and delivery of the continuous improvement function. This role supports delivery of the University’s strategic plan by working with colleagues across the University to facilitate user-focussed, local improvements. This will be done by facilitating and embedding a continuous improvement capability, with a focus on delivering value for the end users and the University. The role holder will manage several improvement initiatives of varying sizes, from training teams in CI techniques to full end to end process reviews involving multiple teams. The role may involve line-management of continuous improvement managers and other SCO team colleagues. Strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate the value of utilising methodologies, will be key to keeping stakeholders engaged and the team supported.
You will have experience of applying best practice continuous improvement and change management methodologies in a large organisation. You will be a confident facilitator, who has experience of training and coaching operational teams across multiple functions.
