We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Senior Contract Administrator to join our team based in Canberra. In this role, you will manage and oversee all aspects of contract administration, including complex contract preparation, negotiation, execution, and monitoring.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, senior leadership, and the legal team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and deadlines. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and mitigating risks, controlling costs, and ensuring the successful and timely completion of our large-scale projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record in managing contracts for large-scale construction projects from $100m upwards
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including relevant legislation, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a systematic approach to contract administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while identifying and mitigating contractual risks.
  • Monitor project budgets and costs, prepare cost reports, and manage procurement processes, including supplier and subcontractor selection and negotiation for timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication, resolve disputes, and manage relationships to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and records, prepare project status reports, and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications through regular audits and inspections.
  • Supervise and mentor junior contract administrators, assist in project planning and scheduling, and monitor project progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
