Description:

YOUR KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Procurement, Business, Law or Commerce degree or Diploma, preferably have RICS qualification
  • 5 years minimum experience in similar position and industry
  • Experience within complex project environment, particularly Oil and Gas, Energy, EPC, infrastructure highly desirable.
  • Must be numerically proficient with a strong understanding of commercial principles.
  • Oracle or similar ERP systems knowledge an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with partners and key stakeholders
  • Experience in quantity surveyor, to estimate costs, quantities and time scales for material and labour. Assigning work to subcontractors, valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL UNDERTAKE THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

  • Follow and maintain company standards of Quality and Governance in accordance with Kent requirements.
  • Maintain standards of safety and comply with the Kent’s Health, Safety & Environment Management System Requirements.
  • Work with the Project Commercial Manager and greater Procurement Department and Project team on contracts related to the project
  • Support stakeholders in management and negotiation of contractual procedures and requirements.
  • Assist with the formation of contracts with a proven ability to effectively negotiate terms, conditions, and price through to contract execution
  • Prepare Cost Forecasts, Monitor Financial Status, Prepare cashflow statements
  • Provide input for financial reports to the Management Team Ensure site supervisory staff are aware of the project’s scope of works and inclusions in tender packages
  • Preparation of tender documentation required for the procurement of sub-contractors including tender and pricing schedules
  • Prepare, review and respond to contract departures and negotiations with suppliers and resolve disputes.
  • Undertaking contract management activities for suppliers within the procurement and contracts team, ensuring cost optimization, risk mitigation and quality outcomes
  • Escalate contractual issues with relevant project stakeholders including invoicing, certifications, insurances, to resolution
