What can you expect?
Our Real Estate Finance practice is focused on the financing and refinancing of the sale, purchase and development of real estate assets of all types. We have a particularly strong track record advising on operating asset deals, including hotels, care homes, student accommodation, ground rent portfolios and the private rental sector.
We are looking for a skilled Conveyancer to join our highly regarded Real Estate team, known for its work with top financial institutions. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of property transactions, focusing primarily on conveyancing services for a major bank. This role requires expertise in UK property law, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Conveyancing Transactions: Manage residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, including, purchases and re-mortgages for a FTSE 100 bank.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for the firm’s banking client, ensuring high-quality service and prompt responses to inquiries.
  • Title Investigations: Conduct title searches, review land registry documents, and resolve any discrepancies or issues affecting property titles.
  • Legal Due Diligence: Perform due diligence on property transactions, identifying and resolving legal risks or issues prior to completion.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK conveyancing laws, regulations, and Law Society standards, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and client due diligence.
  • Reporting and Updates: Provide regular updates to the banking client, the internal legal team, and other stakeholders on transaction progress and completion timelines.
  • Post-Completion Work: Oversee the registration of the banks security at HM Land Registry.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Education: Licensed conveyancer, Qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of conveyancing experience.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of UK property law, particularly in conveyancing
  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and concise communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing legal documents.
  • Organisation: Ability to manage a large caseload of conveyancing transactions simultaneously, and work to strict deadlines.
