Supported By: Communications team, Operations team, Development team, Program teams

THE OPPORTUNITY

DigDeep is looking for an organized, innovative, and detail-oriented person to join our growing Communications team as the Senior Coordinator, Communications. Reporting to the Vice President, Communications (VP), the Senior Coordinator, Communications will work to support the Communications team in executing successful creative and strategic communications efforts both cross-departmentally and external to the organization that align with our values and center the communities we serve. This role will be responsible for supporting effective workflows within the Communications department, and will accomplish this through excellent organization, communication, and management across various departments within the organization.
This role is both independent and collaborative, so a love of organizing, streamlining systems, and prioritizing tasks is a must! In this role, you will play a key role in liaising between and supporting members of the Communications team as they interact with departments across the organization.

ADMINISTRATIVE & PROJECT SUPPORT

  • Support administrative needs as they relate to the overall success of the Communications team, including but not limited to: calendar management, meeting planning and coordination, travel arrangements, expense tracking, data management, record keeping, and file organization.
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables for communications initiatives
  • Maintain organized digital asset and content libraries
  • Support the Communications team with cross-departmental planning and coordination efforts
  • Take initiative on projects while maintaining clear communication
  • Support the response and management of ticketed communications request system

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • At least 2 years experience in communications, journalism, publicity, social media or related field required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and/or Google Workspace required
  • Experience with Slack, Asana, Canva, Figma, Zoom, Expensify preferred
  • Understanding of ethical storytelling principles and practices
  • Basic design sensibility and ability to provide visual feedback
  • High computer literacy, and tech savviness required
  • Able to focus in the face of pressure, deliver against timelines and not be intimidated by tasks/time limitations
  • Organized, trustworthy, dependable, and detail oriented
  • Comfortable with autonomy, able to work independently and complete assigned tasks within established time frames required
  • Comfortability and readiness to apply a social justice and equity lens to communications and content creation
  • Willingness to travel, including but not limited to: Navajo Nation (AZ/NM/UT), West Virginia, Kentucky, Texas, DigDeep HQ, and additional locations as needed
