Description:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum requirements/qualifications: education, skills, experience
- Post-Secondary degree in marketing, business administration, or similar. A degree in arts administration will be considered but is not required.
- This position requires critical thinking, data-based decision making, a revenue mindset and the ability to prioritize competing demands. The right candidate will demonstrate proactivity in leading their responsibilities while successfully fostering internal/external stakeholder relationships to get buy-in on projects and deliver on sales targets.
- Strong digital skills, including experience with spreadsheets, analysis, graphical tools (e.g. Canva), automations and social media. Hands-on experience with an email marketing platform is necessary, preferably on Mailchimp.
- Previous Membership/Fundraising experience in the arts and an appreciation of film are a plus.
- Consumer marketing experience, and a deep understanding of marketing principles, are an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and timelines, with an ability to prioritize as necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Accountable, ethical, demonstrates exceptional follow-through; ability to respect and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Copywriting experience is preferred.
- Commitment to professional development, AFP Code of Conduct and Donor Bill of Rights.
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends during busy periods (e.g. Festival).
- This position requires being in office on a regular basis, per above.
