Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the National Communications and Québec teams, contribute to the editorial planning and content creation in French for social media.
- Contribute to the editorial calendar, content plan, and “voice” for social media channels.
- Engage with and support the Canadian Red Cross social media ambassadors and community of digital volunteers.
- Create content for various digital and social media channels (including but not limited to blog posts, photos, videos, and social media updates for Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
- Support the design and layout of communication tools for internal and external use and prepare and revise content while ensuring the material complies with language, branding, and copyright standards.
- Create graphics and visuals to illustrate internal and external content as needed.
- Support the analysis of campaign results and the formulation of best practices.
- Monitor designated social media channels, provide feedback, and answer general community questions or facilitate the response to customer questions by working with internal channels.
- Monitor topics and comments shared in similar social media communities outside the organization.
- Exhibit a savvy and professional persona via expert written communication skills and in person.
- Contribute to regular reporting on social web activities by the Canadian Red Cross (monthly, quarterly, and as required during emergencies)
- Be available during Canadian and international emergency operations.
- Be available to perform on-call duty for the media line, email inbox, and social media.
