Our successful Group Brand & Design Team has an open Senior Copywriter position to join us located in South Africa.
The role will work across LSEG’s prestigious brand portfolio, including the London Stock Exchange and FTSE Russell indices.

Technical / job functional knowledge and skills

  • 10+ years of confirmed experience
  • Authority writer across the marketing mix: advertising, reports, thought leadership, digital, blog, social, sales enablement and video scripts for B2B audiences across complex subject matter
  • A good understanding of design, digital media, SEO and previous experience of working closely with sales and marketing teams
  • Editorial mentality that seeks to understand what content financial audiences consume and how they like to receive and digest it
  • Capacity to translate brand and content strategies - in relation to customer propositions and challenges - into tangible creative concepts
  • Firm grasp of what constitutes valuable content and the ability to make that known and understood by those around you
  • Ability to swiftly interpret feedback and complete accordingly
  • Experienced editor of content with the ability to conduct constructive detailed content reviews and deliver feedback
  • Creativity, intuition, capacity to identify emerging trends and build relevant content stories based on the

Responsibilities:

Copywriting in the development of content in support of key marketing and brand priorities
Responsible for the development of written marketing, brand and corporate communications across multiple channels; in support of customer segments, regional activation, digital channels, the front-line (sales and account management) and specific account opportunities. Ensuring our written content supports our brand TOV and is of the highest standard

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop written marketing content across segment campaigns - including advertising, reports, thought leadership, digital, blog, social, sales enablement and video scripts - to optimally promote and position our company, brand and products
  • Develop positive relationships with our different Marketing teams to turn complex data, propositions and products into compelling stories
  • Research and quickly understand propositions, products, campaigns in the financial markets space
  • Drive adoption and accuracy of application of our brand tone of voice and customer-driven narrative, in line with our brand platform
  • Analyze, interpret and challenge creative briefs
  • Manage regular edit/review and feedback sessions for agency/freelancer written content
  • Develop timely and relevant thought leadership, such as white papers, long-form features, client communications, internal and external messaging that contribute to the successful positioning of the organization
  • Leverage the perspectives of key internal and external partners to develop and sharpen the investment perspective in the content built across our business
