Your new role

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including group consolidation
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and reports to management
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
  • Conduct reviews and updates of accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
  • Assist with review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and review and sign off journals
  • Assist with the review of Asset Accounting team workbooks and monthly transaction reviews
  • Assist with annual statutory reporting obligations, including compiling of documentation and interaction with external auditors
  • Support Manager and finance team and provide ad-hoc assistance to management as required
  • Assist with project reporting compilation and analysis
  • Assist with the validation of input data for budgeting and forecasting

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Solid understanding of Accounting standards, legislation and the Corporations Act
