The Senior Corporate Affairs Manager assists in managing all aspects of strategic engagement with internal colleagues and external corporate stakeholders, supporting the effective coordination and communication of strategic, commercial, and operational plans underpinning the delivery of our Building Better strategy.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or relevant work experience
- Significant relevant experience in a similar role
- Track record of success and experience in a large corporate or PLC
- Demonstrable understanding and hands on experience of the media environment in Ireland
- Excellent project management skills
Responsibilities:
Media Relations
- Lead the creation, development, and execution of a strategic media relations programme that aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
- Manage the retained PR agency, advising on strategy, drafting press materials, issuing press releases, diary notices, and handling media engagements/queries.
- Lead the company’s crisis communication efforts by preparing for and responding to crises or emergencies and managing day-to-day incidents effectively.
Internal Communications
- Develop and oversee a robust content calendar aimed at coordinating strategic communication efforts related to key commercial, strategic, and operational plans, ensuring alignment and transparency across the Group.
- Develop and deliver multi-channel colleague communications and engagement plans tailored to the Group’s needs.
Policy and Corporate Communications
- Provide strategic counsel, guidance, and expertise on stakeholder engagement to sustain the Group’s reputation with corporate stakeholders.
- Collaborate with key corporate influencers, lobby groups, businesses, and public figures to strengthen Glenveagh’s public profile and influence.
- Work closely with the Group’s marketing team to co-develop high-impact corporate communication campaigns that reflect the company’s strategic priorities.
