Description:
A lesser qualification with at least 4 years’ experience in a Finance environment.
- A high degree of computer literacy with the capability to operate mainframe and micro based systems with a good working knowledge of spreadsheets.
- An ability to interact positively and assertively with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the Company.
- The capability to highlight discipline problems and take appropriate action to ensure the accuracy of the costing information
Responsibilities:

Candidates must have:
- A minimum of an Accounting Technician Qualification with 3 years’ experience in a Finance environment.
OR
A lesser qualification with at least 4 years’ experience in a Finance environment.
- A high degree of computer literacy with the capability to operate mainframe and micro based systems with a good working knowledge of spreadsheets.
- An ability to interact positively and assertively with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the Company.
- The capability to highlight discipline problems and take appropriate action to ensure the accuracy of the costing information.
Responsibilities:
- Complete analysis of data from financial sources to establish integrity, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies.
- Ensure all month end deadlines are met in relation to source transactional information, reports, and analysis.
- Liaise with functional contacts to resolve any queries and enable an understanding of financial data as represented in the published results.
- Continue to drive towards improved reporting by introducing efficiencies into relevant processes.
- Maintain associated SOX controls.
- Liaise with external bodies in relation to statutory reporting requirements (e.g. external auditors, government bodies).
- Participate in the development and continual improvement of all management information systems and preparation for future new systems.
- Create, develop, and review the effectiveness of control measures necessary to assure the quality of contract cost analyses.
- Participate as required in the annual stock audit
