Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Neo is looking for a full-time Senior Commercial Counsel to join our team in Calgary, AB. This is a unique opportunity to support a broad range of practice areas including Neo’s commercial, product development and regulatory matters. Our legal team excels in an exciting and fast-paced environment, and knows how to switch gears to adapt to any scenario. We’re motivated leaders who want to make things better, simpler and stronger. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Independently structure, draft, negotiate and review complex commercial and relationship agreements with banking and program partners, including identifying legal and business risks and collaborating on solutions
  • Work closely with our Strategic Partnership team on structuring and documenting partnerships
  • Draft and develop standards for contract templates
  • Work closely with our Product team on the development and launch of new financial products, services and features
  • Develop and implement processes for efficient operations of legal team, including contract lifecycle management
  • Provide concise and fit for purpose legal advice to internal stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Manage external legal counsel, as required
