Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Neo is looking for a full-time Senior Commercial Counsel to join our team in Calgary, AB. This is a unique opportunity to support a broad range of practice areas including Neo’s commercial, product development and regulatory matters. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Independently structure, draft, negotiate and review complex commercial and relationship agreements with banking and program partners, including identifying legal and business risks and collaborating on solutions
- Work closely with our Strategic Partnership team on structuring and documenting partnerships
- Draft and develop standards for contract templates
- Work closely with our Product team on the development and launch of new financial products, services and features
- Develop and implement processes for efficient operations of legal team, including contract lifecycle management
- Provide concise and fit for purpose legal advice to internal stakeholders in a timely manner
- Manage external legal counsel, as required
