The Trademarks, Copyrights, Advertising practice group of Locke Lord is seeking a Senior Counsel in the Los Angeles office with 15 plus years’ experience in trademark prosecution and trademark portfolio management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization and matter management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.

The expected base salary range for California based candidates in this position is $275,000 - $375,000. Actual base salary will be determined by several components including but not limited to years of experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising ‎attorneys;
  • Collaborate with attorneys on intellectual property matters specializing in trademark and copyright law, intellectual property strategies, licensing and transactions;
  • Patent and trademark license drafting in various industries;
  • Conduct trademark infringement and domain dispute resolution;
  • Draft and negotiate software and technology licenses including copyright and patent licenses;
  • Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis;
  • Complete tasks efficiently.
