Description:

EDUCATION AND SKILL

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a J.D. from an accredited school of law and active bar membership, preferred.
  • The preferred candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, a working knowledge of general contract law and contract construction, an understanding of general business practices, the ability to work independently on time-intensive and complex projects, and the ability to foster and maintain working business relationships with coworkers and clients.
  • Candidates familiar with insurance law, intellectual property law, business law, energy law, construction law, the Uniform Commercial Code, and/or negotiation strategy are preferred.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities:

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

To continue its legacy of innovative leadership and superior customer care, Sabre is seeking a qualified individual who, under the direct supervision of Sabre’s executive staff, will act as senior counsel for the company and oversee all its legal issues, contract drafting and negotiation. As Sabre continues to expand, so too will the responsibilities and expectations associated with the available position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The available position requires the job candidate too competently and proficiently:

  • Provide legal advice and support to executive staff on all legal matters pertaining to Sabre.
  • Support team with contracts and other documents used by Sabre for all bids and sales.
  • Advise executive staff on any new laws, regulations, or statues, which affect Sabre operations.
  • Draft various internal documents to be used by Sabre executive staff and employees.
  • Manage and maintain Sabre terms and conditions review process.
  • Explain legal implications of various documents to Sabre executive staff and employees.
  • Negotiate bid terms and conditions with potential clients’ employees and legal counsel.
  • Monitor and coordinate with Sabre staff to meet contract deadlines.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
  • Perform special projects and other job duties as assigned.
