Description:
SENIOR COUNSEL - WALMART HEALTH & WELLNESS - SPECIALTY
Join Health and Wellness Legal in supporting a team of vision center and optical professionals committed to the mission of helping our customers save money and live better through optical health. In the Senior Counsel - Health & Wellness, Specialty role, you will provide timely and sophisticated legal advice to your optical and hearing clients, draft and interpret legal documents/contracts, build relationships and interact with various internal Walmart teams.
What you’ll do:
- Draft and negotiate third party payer, provider, merchandising and supplier agreements
- Support regulatory compliance and clinical / business operations to mitigate corporate risk
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
What you’ll bring:
- You are a subject matter expert in healthcare and/or optical law
- You have proven success in drafting healthcare agreements that include regulatory issues such as corporate practice, fraud and abuse, and privacy
- You have experience with optical third-party payer agreements, managed care, Medicare/Medicaid
- You’re driven to execute and act quickly and have strong communication/interpersonal skills
- You have experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment
