About the role
Join our Capital and Impairment team, an essential part of the Credit Risk department. The team is responsible for running the credit risk models that calculate regulatory capital and IFRS9 expected credit losses. It also monitors these models’ performance, creates regulatory reports, and provides important data for the Annual Report.
A key focus of this role is to ensure the team follows our Model Risk Framework guidelines.
As the leader of this team, this role will manage three managers, who each oversee their own sub-teams of senior analysts (Capital, Impairment, and Monitoring). It will also work closely with various departments, including Credit Risk Model Development, Financial Reporting, Treasury, and Model Validation.

About you
For this role you’ll need strong technical knowledge and experience in regulatory credit risk capital (Standardised Approach & IRB) and IFRS9 expected credit loss standards. you’ll also have proven leadership experience.
Experience in capital and impairment regulatory reporting and credit model monitoring will also be essential skills
Other skills required include analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to present ideas clearly through both written and verbal communication.
You’ll have strong relationship-building skills, including with senior executives and board members and experience leading credit risk interactions with external auditors for financial reporting.
