The role of the PPP is to help to deliver a programme of nationally significant major infrastructure projects to the Sellafield site as quickly and safely as possible, creating new facilities that allow Sellafield to treat, manage and store waste safely for decades to come. The SNM Future State Programme will deliver capabilities to ensure the right material, is in the right package, in the right store to maintain the safe and secure storage of plutonium. To deliver the programme mission there are several tranches that must be delivered. The SNM Future Storage tranche will focus on providing additional modern standard, resilient storage capacity to store 100 Year Packages until the final disposition solution is implemented.
