Responsibilities:
TE TŪRANGA | ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Cyber Security Operations Analyst be responsible for ensuring protection of the Councils digital assets through proactive monitoring, vulnerability management, and maintenance of our digital landscape.
Other key accountabilities that you’ll be responsible for, are:
- Management and maintenance of the Council’s cyber security infrastructure and services
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of cyber security policies and practices within the Council.
- Undertake investigations and report on security breaches and incidents to guide the refinement of practices and processes and reduce the likelihood and impact of security related incidents.
- Work within a hybrid cyber security operating model that includes both internal and external cyber security team members.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- 8+ years in an Information Security position in a comparative organisation
- Experience with technology and security related best practice frameworks such as ITIL, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK®/DEFEND, and ISO27001 (Desirable)
- Solid Incident management and incident response experience
- Experience in a security operations environment, developing processes, procedures, and documentation in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Threat and risk analysis for incident response.
- Strong communication and senior stakeholder management experience
