Alternative Heat specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of Off-site Prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout Ireland and UK. Through continuous investment within our teams, and our facilities, we have grown strongly over the years and established ourselves as a leader within the offsite pre-fabrication industry throughout Ireland and the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Senior Data Analyst into the Information Management Team.

SKILLS

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and report customisation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead our new data analytics team. This role requires advanced proficiency in Power BI and strong leadership capabilities. The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with senior management and line managers to develop insightful reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with ISO 9001 standards. In addition to leading the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for suggesting optimal storage solutions for BI reports and establishing a rigorous process for reviewing reports content prior to release and maintaining the report during their life cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of data analysts ensuring to coach and develop the team to meet the business needs.
  • General management including assigning tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team delivers high-quality outputs within deadlines.
  • Develop and manage advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Provide training and guidance to the team on best practices in Power BI report development and maintenance.
  • Provide training to wider company departments on Power BI to ensure all departments can use it and are aware of the benefits.
  • Good understanding of SharePoint and integrations with Power BI reports.
  • Collaborate with senior managers and line managers to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Managing data harvesting from identified areas to ensure consistent access to data where relevant integrating with internal or external departments to automate data collection where possible.
  • Present findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs that align with ISO 9001 standards, ensuring the organisation meets its quality management objectives.
  • Regularly review and update KPIs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to reflect changing business needs this can range from senior management, line managers and external parties where relevant.
  • Ensure that reports are issued in agreed timescales and tracked to ensure consistency of release and maintenance where appropriate.
  • Recommend and implement optimal storage solutions for BI reports, ensuring easy access and data security.
  • Develop long term strategy for reports for the company this can include alternative platforms, storage options and department processes and KPI’s.
  • Establish and maintain a structured process for the storage, retrieval, and archiving of BI reports.
  • Design and enforce a thorough review process for all reports and dashboards before they are released, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
  • Define company template for BI reports and ensure all reports match company branding guidelines.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the quality control process to maintain the highest standards of data integrity.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and Power BI.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and tools, driving efficiency and innovation within the team.
