Senior Data Analyst

As a senior data analyst on the data and analytics team, you’ll closely partner with different teams, both technical and non-technical, to create personalized, meaningful, and respectful relationships with our customers on each stage of their shopping journey.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.
Join our innovative Analytics team as a senior data analyst.
What you’ll do:
- Lead problem research, insights exploration, metrics design, and data storytelling to provide actional recommendations on business operations and product roadmaps.
- Optimize cost and revenue potential via opportunity analysis, forecasting, or simulation.
- Design and build experiments to measure impact of technology and operational changes that impact millions of customers.
- Create self-serve dashboards to track KPIs and support insights exploration.
- Partner with leaders in e-commerce, marketplace, marketing, and logistics to identify strategic growth opportunities for Best Buy.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience working in an analytics related/relevant business area.
- Flexibility to work in multiple data-related areas like data modeling & design, writing complex SQL queries, Power BI dashboarding, ETLs etc.
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and comfortable with Python.
- Ability to explain and apply machine learning models to solve business problems effectively.
- Ability to convey complex technical information in a digestible format to audiences ranging from your peers to senior executives.
