The Role
Reports to: Head of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
Location: WeWork HQ, Waterloo - Hybrid (minimum once in the office per week)
As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll be a driving force in our data team’s mission to cultivate a data-driven culture. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across the organisation, such as product, science & technology, to uncover valuable insights from our data. Ultimately, your ability to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations will empower stakeholders to make informed strategic decisions that drive business growth and innovation.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Extract, clean, and analyse data from various sources, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Looker to effectively communicate data trends and insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop data-driven strategies.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer critical business questions and support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data quality, efficiency, and accessibility.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust data infrastructure.

We tend to look for people with

  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery and Looker, is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus Points if you have experience with

  • Championing a data mindset across the org
  • Implementing advanced analytics/machine learning techniques to varied datasets
  • Experience with big data technologies
