Senior Data Analyst
We’re seeking someone to join our Control Engineering Monitoring and Assessment team as a Senior Data Analyst.
The Control Engineering Monitoring and Assessment team within Morgan Stanley’s Technology Organization is looking for a talented, enthusiastic team member to assist us in providing data analytics support for continuous control monitoring. In this role the Data Analytics Analyst will identify, vet, and complete data analysis on data sources that support various metrics. The role involves partnering with the database team to on-board new data feeds, complete related UAT testing, and required documentation. The position will also be responsible for team project management, tracking, and reporting on the progress of the team’s various work processes.
The Control Engineering Monitoring and Assessment team within Morgan Stanley’s Technology Organization has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic team member to join us in our business automation transformation journey. The Automation Analyst will play a key role in identifying and implementing automation opportunities with primarily Robotic Process Automation tools. In this role responsibilities will include documenting and vetting the business case with the stakeholders, documenting the as-is, process, designing, programing, and deploying the automation via the Software Development Life Cycle standards.

What you’ll do in the role: #LI-FT1 #BPTECH
Collaboration with data SMEs, control owners, and other team members to understand data requirements
Identify and evaluate potential data sources
Evaluate and document the data in terms of Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity and Value
Write scripts to extract, transform, and analysis data from various sources
Analysis and attest to the data’s ability to support various metrics
Document requirements for new data source or data source enhancements
Partner with the database team to on-board new data following Technology standards and procedures
Guide the visualization team in the usage of the data for development of metrics
Follow the company’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies
Create required documentation to evidence the process for Second Line and Internal Audit review
Coordinate the team’s processes using project management tools such as JIRA
Responsibilities:
At least 3 years of writing Python scripts to analysis data including extensive knowledge of Pandas, RE, Lambda, and NumPy
Strong SQL Skills
At least 3 years of proven track record data analysis
At least 3 years of experience working with database and reporting teams
Basic understanding of Technology controls
Basic understanding of Technology risks
Intermediate Excel skills including string manipulate functions, vlookups, and Pivot tables
Strong communication and organization skills
Project Management experience
