Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Our Commodities Procurement team is looking for a highly organized and analytical individual to join their team as a Sr Data Analyst. In this role, you will bring best practices and focus on system capability and automation; process development and improvement; refinement of cost analysis and forecasting models; key departmental reporting; and risk management compliance in a fast-moving procurement environment. You will also be responsible for delivering value-added business analytics as well as reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making and operational efficiencies.

You will help to elevate the team’s performance by taking initiative, being persistent and creative, and have a passion for continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Conduct requirements analysis and translate data into informative and actionable reports, dashboards and KPI’s across the Procurement Department.
  • Maintain and develop new approaches to automate internal and external data retrieval, customer/vendor reporting and operational process.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to build centralized/custom data analytics tools to enhance the business process.
  • Own and develop queries and data visualizations for ad-hoc, recurring, troubleshooting requests and projects. Create exploratory data analysis, reports, dashboards to surface data for different stakeholders.
  • Through data led analysis, provide insight to optimize long-term cost saving growth and support related strategic initiatives (both ad hoc analytics and on-going reporting).
  • Coordinate with IT to efficiently perform activities related to integration of data and systems.
  • Simplify complex analyses and create clear and concise stories to motivate the department and company to make better data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare presentations on department performance, risk management performance and cost savings initiatives.
  • Challenge the Procurement Leadership Team on best practices and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain departmental savings and inventory budget as well as latest estimate models.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Strong understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain modules including (but not limited to) Master Planning, Procurement and Sourcing and, Inventory Management (preferably in Microsoft AX/D365).
  • 3 years+ of Power Business Intelligence (Power BI) experience working on dashboards and data visualization along with good understanding of BI architecture.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and relevant tools is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning and AI, including regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, NLP, and optimization, is preferred.
