Description:
The Senior Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming raw healthcare claims and eligibility data into actionable insights. This individual will develop complex data mappings and structures to support advanced analytics, reporting, and decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst will possess a deep understanding of data quality and integrity and will be responsible for troubleshooting data-related issues to ensure optimal data flow and utilization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in a business, technology, or related field.
- Three to five years of experience in a business or data analyst or quality assurance role is required.
- Experience within a healthcare-related field working with very large data sets of medical and pharmacy claims.
- Proficient in creating and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and task prioritization skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex data mappings and transformations to convert raw claims and eligibility data into standardized data models.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data quality and integrity to identify and resolve issues impacting data accuracy and completeness.
- Create and execute SQL queries to validate data transformations and support data analysis efforts.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Analyze and troubleshoot ETL processes and data architectures to identify and resolve performance and data quality issues.
- Create comprehensive documentation of data mapping, transformation, and validation processes.
- Support the implementation of new client data sources, ensuring seamless integration into existing data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to evaluate and implement new data pipelines, mining engines, and other technologies to enhance data analysis capabilities.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for client data content and models, providing business leaders with insights into risk, impacts, and opportunities.
- Partner with data scientists and analysts to support advanced analytics and reporting initiatives.
